Chiral phase amplification of 1,1'-binaphthyl thin films by thermal treatment

The dataset contains experimental data from X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Grazing Incidence X-ray Diffraction (GIXD), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Hot Stage Microscopy images which show different phase transitions of 1,1'-binaphthyl. The XRD files can be read using the Malvern Panalytical Data Viewer software; the files are saved in .xrdml format.  The GIXD files can be accessed by GIDVis software. The DSC files are saved in .txt format, which can be read using Notepad, but they require Origin or MS Excel to plot the data. The IR Camera recorded video files can be accessed using a media player (VLC). The microscopic images can be viewed with Windows Photo Viewer.
