Description
Data set containing raw helium scattering measurements during the chemical vapour deposition of hexagonal boron nitride on a ruthenium surface, supporting the publication "In situ analysis of intermediate structures in 2D materials growth: h-BN on Ru(0001)".
A description of the growth conditions and file numbers is given in hBN_Preparation.pdf
The raw angular diffraction measurements (scans) are stored as Matlab with filenames as00*****.mat. The .mat file contains all the measured data that can be opened in MATLAB. The data is saved in a structure named meas, the key fields are as follows:
- meas.scan - structure containing the information of a single angular diffraction scan:
- meas.scan.angles - A vector of the varying incident angle during a diffraction scan (in degrees)
- meas.scan.counts - A vector of the measured scattered intensity for each incident angle defined by meas.angles (detector current in ampere)
- The remaining fields such as meas.startStatus contain an additional set of information including the measurement time, sample temperature, background chamber pressure etc.
