Convolution analysis for detection purposes; computational tests on sinusoidal signals in noise - supplementary GNU Octave code

To temporally localize a signal in a signal stream in noisy environments, it is necessary to identify a suitable transformation that suppresses the noise-floor and amplifies the signal sections. The test aims to determine which combination of input data leads to the highest amplitude ratio between the noise floor and the signal section.
