Open Educational Resources (OER) at TU Graz / Institutional Integration and development of OER
Description
This publication provides an overview of the long-term and sustainable implementation of Open Educational Resources (OER) at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz).
Since 2010, TU Graz has made significant strides in integrating OER into its academic framework, culminating in the development of an OER policy, professional qualification programs, and an OER repository. The university's initiatives include the use of OER plugins for its learning management system and video platform, allowing faculty to share and make educational content searchable through the national OER referatory. Additionally, the university has contributed to the Austrian OER landscape through its iMooX platform, supporting MOOCs and open online courses across Austrian universities. Despite these advancements, the report highlights that the full integration of OER into teaching and learning practices remains a work in progress, with ongoing efforts to enhance the impact of open science and OER initiatives at TU Graz.
